Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in the 24 years of state formation, Uttarakhand has achieved new heights of development. “The period led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been special in this development journey. In this period, new doors of progress have opened in Uttarakhand. Our performance on the economic front has been encouraging,” CM Dhami added.

The tourism sector has played an important role in this. Two years ago, the contribution of the tourism sector in GSDP was 37%, which has now increased to 43.7 percent.
Similarly, per capita income has also increased to Rs 2 lakh 60 thousand. Whereas in the year 2000, the per capita income was Rs 15285. If we look at the data of the last two years, the per capita income of the state has increased by 26 percent.
With the pace of development in the state, the budget has also increased twenty times. At the time of the formation of the state in the year 2000, the budget of Uttarakhand was close to Rs 4500 crores. Whereas for the years 24-25, a total budget provision of more than Rs 94 thousand crores has been made.
