Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 15 (ANI): After meeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the brother of the man who lost his life in Bahraich on Tuesday said the CM assured them that the culprits would not be spared.
“We met UP CM Yogi Adityanath. He assured us that strict action would be taken against the accused. He also assured us of financial compensation of Rs 10 lakh, a house, and a job for the widow of the deceased. We are satisfied with the meeting,” said Kishan Mishra, the deceased’s brother.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Sureshwar Singh stated that the victim’s family had demanded strict action against those responsible, and the UP CM assured them that such action would be taken.
“The deceased’s family met with UP CM Yogi Adityanath. They demanded strict action against those responsible, and the CM assured them that it would be done,” Sureshwar Singh said.
The family has been provided Rs 10 lakh, a house under the PM Awas Yojana, and an Antyodaya card.
“A compensation of Rs 10 lakh has been given to the victim’s family. They will also receive a house, an Ayushman Bharat card, and the benefits of various government schemes. The CM has directed us to explore the possibility of providing a job to the widow of the deceased,” he added.
A man was killed, and several others were injured following a clash between two communities during a Durga idol immersion procession in the Mahasi area of Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that delivering justice to the family of the Bahraich violence victim is the government’s top priority, and the culprits will not be spared.
He made this statement after meeting the family members of the deceased in Lucknow.
In a post on X, CM Yogi said, “Today in Lucknow, I met the family members of the youth who died in the unfortunate incident in Bahraich district… Providing justice to the victim’s family is the top priority of the government. The culprits will not be spared at any cost.”
Earlier today, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced that a high-level inquiry into the Bahraich incident had been ordered, and he assured that strict action would be taken against those involved.
“The situation is under control. A high-level inquiry has been ordered, and strict action will be taken. We stand with the victim’s family,” Brajesh Pathak told ANI.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphasised that those who seek to disrupt peace in Bahraich will not be spared. (ANI)
